Voxbit is built to keep your recordings and working history close to your Mac. This policy explains the few situations where data leaves your device.

Voxbit records and transcribes audio locally. Recordings, transcripts, cleaned output, profile settings, local history, and Markdown files remain on your Mac unless you choose an optional service described below. You control whether history and recordings are saved, and you choose the destination for Capture & Save files.
If you enable AI cleanup or compression and connect your own key, Voxbit sends the transcript text, selected mode, profile instructions, and processing prompt directly to OpenAI or Anthropic. Raw audio is not included in those AI cleanup requests. The provider processes that request under your account and its own terms and privacy practices.
API keys are stored locally as part of Voxbit's app settings. Voxbit uses a key only to send requests to the provider you selected. Do not share your Mac user account with someone who should not have access to your Voxbit settings.
When you visit voxbit.dev or download the beta, our hosting and content-delivery provider may process standard request information such as your IP address, browser, requested URL, and timestamp to deliver and protect the service. Hagl Co. LLC may use aggregate visit and download counts to understand beta adoption. We do not sell this information or use it for targeted advertising.
Choosing Leave feedback opens your email app. If you email us, we receive the address, message, and attachments you choose to send. We use them to reply and improve Voxbit, and keep them only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or legal obligations.
Local data remains until you delete it through Voxbit, remove the saved files, or uninstall the app and its data. Requests sent to an AI provider are retained according to that provider and your account settings. You may ask us to delete feedback or other personal information we control by contacting us below.
We use reasonable safeguards for the website and information we control, but no system can guarantee absolute security. Cloudflare, OpenAI, Anthropic, and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their respective terms.
Voxbit is not directed to children under 13, and Hagl Co. LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has sent us personal information.
We may update this policy as Voxbit changes. We will revise the effective date on this page when we do. For privacy questions or requests, email yeshe@hagl.co.
